About Us
About the bride
I was born and raised in Portland, OR. After graduating from high school in 2003 I went to the University of Portland and majored in Social Work. I now live in Portland and work not far away in Beaverton as a milieu counselor for LifeWorks NW Young Children’s Day Treatment Program. Music has played a major role in my life from a very young age from piano to clarinet to drumline and pit in marching band and drum and bugle corps. I continue to be involved in the music world by teaching the front ensemble at Skyview high school in Vancouver. My faith is another thing important to me along with my wonderful friends and family. I feel extremely blessed and I am continuously amazed at the way God works in my life.
About the groom
I was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Huntsville, AL when I was four. I spent my middle and high school years in the Seattle area, graduating from Kamiak high school in 2003, then going on to spend a few years at WASU. I am currently a freelance web and graphic designer (www.jsupnick.com). My interest in web and graphic design started as a hobby and grew into a career as I learned more about it. Music has also played an important role in my life, playing piano for six years starting at four and joining drumline as a sophomore in high school. Joining drumline led me to spend four summers touring with different drum and bugle corps’. I have had the opportunity to teach with various marching groups in the NW and currently am enjoying teaching at Skyview high school. I am continuously learning about the things God has in store for my life and am blessed with an amazing family and great friends.
How we met
We met for the first time in high school at a band competition in Everett, WA. Our drumlines were standing near to each other and made introductions. We ran into each other again at auditions for three different drum and bugle corps’ over the next few years and talked online every once in a while, but it wasn’t until we spent a summer together touring the US with the Oregon Crusaders in 2006 
google it for all you non-drum corps savvy people that we got to know each other and became good friends. Over the next year we began hanging out, talking and getting to know each other better and our relationship has only grown from there.
